Mr. Nobody - 8 - Jared Leto. Trippy, cosmic, somewhat love story (much like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or The Science of Sleep) that is philosophical as well. Some parts are so futuristic that it seems over the top, but the rest of the film comes across as intriguing (with multiple timelines) and makes up for it.

A Single Man - 8 - What a beautiful, sad film. Colin Firth is fantastic and Julianne Moore makes the most out of her small role. The cinematography is gorgeous. Tells the tale of a gay man in 1960’s Los Angeles who’s just lost his partner of 16 years. (P.S. Totally didn’t realize that Nicholas Hoult [Marcus from About a Boy] played the student [seen below]. Mind-blown. He’s come through his awkward teen phase & lookin’ good!)

Quarantine - 6 - Do yourself a favor: skip this movie, and watch the original, Spanish version [Rec]. Even though I do love me some Jennifer Carpenter, it’s basically a shot for shot remake, with worse acting. This version also seems more calculated with its camerawork, taking away from the very element (character POV) of what made the first one so scary. Still, pretty decent for a horror film, but definitely not as good as its predecessor.
